IAU UNESCO INTELAQA- IRAQ
The IAU UNESCO Intelaqa Peace and Diplomacy Program in partnership with the Intelaqa Organisation for Human Rights, was successfully hosted at Alfarahidi University in Baghdad, Iraq. This milestone event marked the first short-term program held abroad by IAU UNESCO and was simultaneously translated to Arabic, aimed at fostering cross-cultural dialogue and global engagement. The program focused on key topics such as education and peace, global values, international relations, and cultural diplomacy.
Participants actively engaged in discussions about Iraq’s ethnic and religious diversity, challenging global media narratives and showcasing the region’s hospitality and acceptance. The program’s learning experience, which shared UNESCO’s vision and values, led to valuable insights into Iraq’s cultural landscape.
